Hi Ai friends - here is my first (of 5) talk with Irene Lyakovetsky of SaugaTalks - there is a lot of my history of building robots (50 years ) to the present day.

Welcome to the forum.
You're really brave to do interviews, I never have the guts. Comp viz and motor generation, together could make a pretty cool toy come to life. Most people that post here are chat bot software developers, but theres also a few people doing robot bodies as well. But pretty much 95% of us all are working on something, the same as you, It's been a bit quiet lately here, but it might spur up again in the near future.
Depends if anyone gets anything exciting done, I guess maybe.

Robot building is fun!
Here is my inexpensive robot prototype, fully programmable to automatically lip sync computer generated speech:

Years ago Dave Morton and I (as seen in the background) were chatting about it over on: https://www.datahopa.co.uk

how did you make it? Did u convert a store mannequin into it?

I may see a few of the same or similar electronic components Tony uses, but he also has more advanced components which are very cool. My prototype is simple to practice programming robotics.
(slight edit, fixed minor typo.)

I always say my own opinion its not the components that are fancy, its how they are put together!! =)
