Actually quite smooth and well controlled.  O0

That would be a great motor movement for future robotics!  :o

I could be wrong... but I think that robot is running as an avatar, a human is controlling it.

Still excellent mechanics and fluidity/ smoothness though.

Actually you're correct, the robot was controlled by a man with a pair of handles right behind the wall. The pair of handle is just like the two long red stick with a red ball like the robot which is holding.

Ah! I’d honestly not seen the article but I like to think I know my robotics, the actions where just too emotionally expressive and rapid… too ‘Human’.

Using water as a twist on hydraulics is a cool idea, though like oil water is incompressible, so a high pressure leak could still be quite dangerous to someone close by; depends on the running pressures involved I suppose. I certainly wouldn't like to have my hand near the shoulder piston/ actuator if it sprung a leak holding say… a 2kg weight/ load out at full extension.

Still an excellent piece of kit though.

To think some people get paid to play with this stuff… I chose the wrong vocation lol.

Yeah...unfortunately, some of us were actually born too early.
