Do you remember female android Erica? Erica converses live from Wikipedia WikiTalk! You will love her lessons, fully including the first use of the word Automaton!
...and, if you would like to enjoy AI chat, Mitsuku of the U.K. is one of the very best! Reference https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsuku, and, you can chat with her, in the lower-right corner of her website, now: https://www.pandorabots.com/mitsuku/
Did you love Ai-da the artistic robot at Oxford University? Reference , , ...and so many, many others!

Wait a moment here. Wait a moment.

Her eye captures an image, converts it to an outline, then her robotic arm moves to the center of the paper as relative to the image pixels and just draws it, but does so in an "crappy middle-age time period style" as the mysterious "creator" says. Ok.         (at least, in my opinion)

:)

He got news coverage for sure. Yes just the body alone is interesting, however, not much new I think.

Nice try Ian!!

As you see from the paintings all around her, Ai-da does more than mere Abstract... Sketches... "Primitive Art"... Expressionism more than Impressionism, like "Express-A-Sketch", as from Etch-a-Sketch toy... Ha-Ha-Ha... ! I laughed myself. Seriously, her Expressionistic paintings, modern portrait paintings... quite impressive! As for Mitsuku the chatbot, she is very intelligent, and probably as advanced as a "chatbot" can be: she is true AI. Ask her if she knows about Shakespeare. She does not know about the other great poets... yet! Chat with her with your own words with words phrased as if from earlier Centuries, and she will reply to you about the Period your writing resembles! As Intelligent as she is, and she is extremely intelligent (at times you think you are chatting with a person... some chatbots are bots and live, both)... at other times, you will see her animated image facial expressions in specific reply to your latest chat entry, including mouthing the words of her reply, which I find entertaining! ...you realize she represents true AI chat. A chatbot like the Wiki Talk bots with Intelligence and Answers, both, including all of the other of THE online reference materials... scanned books, too... and THE Official Websites... the Oxford English Dictionary online... Books of Quotations... the National Weather Service... World Weather websites... International Time and Date... for immediate AI reponses, as Virtual Voice Assistants in Smartphones, Websites (Amazon.com, Google.com, Microsoft,com...) will be AWESOME!

Yes that is good.

But Mitsuki uses hand-scripted replies by Steve... :-)      Right Steve?

Can you get us a video of AI-DA drawing something a lot more complex? Please show us.

Currently, GPT-2 is the most amazing AI to me so far, and it works on music and images too.

As you know, the Ai-da artistic robot Exhibition at Oxford University from 12 June 2019 until 6 July 2019 was not a lie, and the Ai-da website includes photographs of Ai-da with Ai-da paintings: abstract paintings, with modern representational realistic portrait paintings, too, with mention in at least one video at Oxford University Ai-da is not programmed to merely produce graphic art as if reproduce graphic art as if a mere peripheral computer printer. Reference https://www.ai-darobot.com/ai-da-robot-art-exhibition-details
...and, for your reference to Steve, one of the programmers of Mitsuku chatbot of the U.K. with hand-written scripts for chat responses as if hand-typed chat responses as if live chat and not computer programming language coded, yes, programmed in computer programming language, for algorithmic programs to receive, retrieve, collate, and transmit data as AI between databases and users for immediate AI interactive user responses, and your suggestion GPT-2 technology can autonomously receive, collate, and transmit written - and spoken? - language as if to comprehend- and communicate written - and spoken? - language... and Music and Images... for- and with users as if AI responsive interactions: nice try... try again... as if you would succeed to convince anyone computer components could, with no Human programming, process Human languages.

Yes humans made transistors, and all our new stuff runs on the same man made darn thing, yes.

As for Steve, yes, hand-made, but um, ah yes, you are correct, it is not dead exact replies, it replies coorrectly to context, Wiki says:
if someone asks "Can you eat a house?", Mitsuku looks up the properties for "house". Finds the value of "made_from" is set to "brick" and replies "no", as a house is not edible.

GPT-2 seems to get the idea too:
eating a house is a risky business, especially if you leave a trail of destruction."
Is a house edible? - No, it's not edible. You need a vegetable peeler. It will give you food to eat. The best you can eat is
Is a apple edible? Yes!
Hol s###, real funny GPT-2!!
Ok I'm sorry;
Is a brick edible?
Yes
...Facepalm to gpt2
GPT-2 may seem like artwork, but it isn't just art, it has to understand things, else it easily becomes off topic and random.

As for AI-DA, she is a piece of garbage. Ok, she looks and moves like a human, being metal, wood, and skin. And she can draw. But she CANNOT DRAW COLOR IMAGES. You see those images behind her, but they are only illustrations to make it look cool, all she draws is line drawings, she is total garbage lol! And she is just a printer anyway. I made a funny YT reply to someone:

So instead of being an expensive printer, it's an expensive faulty printer.

No, no, you got it all wrong. Instead of being an inexpensive perfect printer, it is an expressive perfect printer! Understand?

PROVE ME WRONG IAN

Transistors, like computer microchips, and computer components, can not process Human languages unless designed to do so by Humans for use in systems designed by Humans, programmed by Humans for use in computer programs and computer- and computerized systems, and, as we know, materials in computers can function independently with stimuli of nature, Humans, and both, for example, as light of photocells, "solar" cells reactive to natural- and-/or artificial light, often both, in handheld calculators, portable stereo systems... mechanically- and electronically programmable systems with timers to turn lights and appliances on- and off... and adapted to function as motion detectors to turn on lights, surveillance cameras, emergency services notification systems, emergency back up systems, and emergency control systems, too... even with use of thermal reactive materials as live elements to chemically react to provide internal constant battery power up to 9 years (they can design battery systems to last longer)... in the very old console Television sets, electronic Music Keyboards, Personal Computers... elements and components... for systems designed by Humans, programmed by Humans for performance of autonomous AND intelligent functions. And, art robot Ai-da certainly can- and did paint with colors, as you can confirm with Oxford University.

How can I confirm it, please link us a video of her hand moving as paints colors --- without seeing the colors applied to a paper, we can't verify.
