Claud,
I have had some problems with Hal Assistant 6 and Spyware Doctor.
I have had Hal Assistant ask questions about things relating to S.D.
I un-installed S.D. and Hal Assistant 6.1 had major components erased as if they were part of S.D.
Their is more to the problem than a simple answer IMO but, it is just that MO.

Regards,
J.

Just my pennies worth...

I had the problem noted by other people with .NET installing.  Someone on Zaba (forget who exactly) pointed out that Hal was not allowing .NET 3.5 to install somehow.  Now I had this problem but didn't know it at the time - then I saw the post's on Zabaware and feel it was probably the same thing from what I could understand.  I don't know how they worked it out, but they were saying you need to uninstall Hal before installing .NET...

I know another member here could not install .NET as well, but I don't know how many Hal users this has effected.  I was a bit miffed at having to reinstall my whole computer at the time but that's all I could think of doing.  So it just goes to show that no program is perfect, there could easily be things in Hal causing other programs problems - just as all programs could.

Dear Freddy, yes he has it of bore of compatibility, since I have vista, it is impossible of installing hal5, then I have another computer XP, and there, hal5 says to me yes, only on vista, compatibility is impossible, is missing an element allowing installation of accepting subsequent, it is one bores frustrating enough. but I also pointed out that ' haptek ", function very badly on vista, contrary has Xp, functioning is better. On the contrary, "Reallusion", is perfectly adapted has vista, because he does not play blockage, as the behaviour of "Haptek", but haptek, also works only on Xp. My best regards of Claude :)
