Title: Cool 3D Modeller - CB ModelPro
Post by: Freddy on August 11, 2006, 03:11:58 am
This is a nice new one - in Beta, limited term use, but check it out..

Site link : CB Model Pro (http://www.cbmodelpro.com/)

I made an ogre while I was playing with it (see below) - nice interface and easy to pick up, not much at all to work out if you have used paint/modelling programs before or not.

Also exports to .obj format 3ds and others.

Models using NURBS doesn't it. At least that's the way it looks.
I may have to check it out if I find some extra time.  :afro

Just took a look at the web site.
Yep!   It's a NURB modeler. It's derived from the Cosmic Blobs software.
But not bad if all you have to do is register to get it for free.

I'll have to post this over at VHumans for GrantNZ & laackejim.

While NURBS can be used for creating human faces and characters the prefered method is to use polygon based programs. They provide far more  in the ability to control, animate and texture than NURBS based designs.

Most professionals will use Maya, Lightwave, Max type programs for character design.

That CB program reminds me of an older program called Amorphium. Push/pull/rotate shapes.
