update.   after this test, it looks all battle stations go - ill see if i get it to its 3 foot in front with as little water as possible, then i think this thing IMO even with the lack of distance sight and accuracy is superior to a kinect -  and its going to be packing a "model as it goes" with it, of course.

Ok dishes done.

Ive got the User Interface in,   and it saves settings,  so hopefully I can crawl my way to getting a good metre or so of correct depthage,  then ill say its a go for it being good enough for a robot vision!

I think this baby is WAY better than resorting to a Kinect,  but hopefully everyone will ignore what im doing and itll sneak through,   im definitely going to give it infrared interferance transmitters so all the InfRed dependant bots are dead! X)

It’s coming along nicely…  :)

Normalizing looks good.  Slight Gaussian blur to the depth map might look good.

Ranch in part mentioned, "... ill say its a go for it being good enough for a robot vision!"

Robot Vision = Salary  ...   Just sayin' ... It is certainly out there running in production.

And, it needs skilled workers paid salaries for maintenance and tech support.
