NVIDIA's GTC 2020 Keynote in 10 minutes
« on: May 17, 2020, 09:24:04 pm »
This is an amazing short video that touches on a few important issues like how we envision the computer graphics of today and what we can expect tomorrow (figuratively speaking of course). The mention of Ray-Tracing graphics interpolation and estimation is quite impressive as is Misty the weather drop chatbot and more.

In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Amazing, 1/10th the cost and 1/20th the energy and like 1/30th the size!
Still unclear to me how much this 199,000$ device can compute etc. Will check it later more.

Anyone disagree the end of the video with the 10x better 50% smaller system should have been at the start of the video?? It was the most stunning new update for me, if it's truly true.

If you understand both the following links, you will see our computers and our algorithms are both getting faster/ more data. They are the same thing basically. https://openai.com/blog/ai-and-efficiency/

Was looking through my bookmarks, found an old keynote, interesting! :E
At 33:33 we see the same thing in the latest video, is this a thing they always do perhaps? Must look into it more.

Some specs:

Also A100 has 54 billion transistors
