Quantum Raytracing (supersampling)
« on: August 07, 2020, 11:34:44 am »
So is this real or what?      They don't explain themselves very well,   and what does this mean?  Computing power is infinite?
If its factual at all,  I doubt it has the square root of -1 anywhere in it.

The video was pretty good, I've never seen actual gate formalization with Quantum Computing, so it was interesting. But yes quantum math uses imaginary numbers. In fact the logic gates are formed because the math with complex numbers works!  :D But, using QC to do raytracing is pretty cool. Unfortunately getting the results requires cryogenic cooling.  :( So you're not likely to see a QC graphics card anytime soon...

Yes,  quite convincing isn't it.

I don't trust this "quantum industry"  Anything that Einstien called spooky action from a distance gets me a little cautious.
Maybe this quantum hardware is a sham, and its just running a kind of mathematics instead, and the whole thing is quite a lie about needing real entanglement. (which I have my doubts about).

I heard the quantum computer that got the quantum supremecy was 52 qbits.   utter rubbish,  because they have ordinary super computers
larger than 2^52 bits,   so that was just another piece of fake news.
