And if anyone was wondering where you would place the lithium batteries on a female android.... Now you know.

Is it supposed to be a film, because I only see one static image ?  ???

And what is the purpose here ?

Freddy asked, "And what is the purpose here?"

The purpose is to display the YouTube thumbnail image at
full size dimensions, to avoid the automatic embed feature.
On the YouTube watch page, this may help increase the view
count in the hopes of attracting more YouTube subscribers.

For the chatbot.tk YouTube channel to be eligible for a
custom URL, all eligibility requirements must be met.
The only requirement left is to reach 100 subscribers.

If anyone would like to help make the dream of a custom URL
come true for the chatbot.tk YouTube channel, you know what
to do.  And, it will be sincerely appreciated.

I must have seriously lost some brain cells during the night!... I'm just not getting it.

It's on a video site; it's a  video of a still image.

Normally on YouTube a still image is shown when it's the audio content that is important.

Obviously there is a story involved; Is the music meant to be telling a story?

Is the music just setting the ambiance and does this image represent the outcome of the story?

Is their another video somewhere showing/ telling the story and this is a fan's representation of it?

Oh! Or... are we mean't to make up the story and use the image/ music as visual que/ guide.

I'm getting old lol.

Or... is it clickbait lol. Coz if the purpose of this is just to get people to visit your youtube site to get the numbers up... then that makes it clickbait.... clickbait bad...

 :)

Korrelan,

The post at the top of this thread is very simple and takes advantage of the traditional method which is lower bandwidth than the new automatic URL video embed method.  The traditional method is supported for backwards compatibility purposes, on most forums, but it does catch attention since it is out of common use these days.

In the description on the YouTube watch page, you will discover the shell script used to render this video in one line of code.   There is also full credit for the ambient music used, and other information under SHOW MORE in the description.

If you like what you see, and would like to see more, then please pledge your support by becoming a subscriber.  It costs nothing, but will help the channel reach its eligibility requirements to earn a custom URL at YouTube.   Special Thanks... To You!

It seems an odd way to go about it. Why don't you make a story then people may be interested and genuinely subscribe. Why would people subscribe just to see still images when they are expecting a story ?

Freddy,

Great Advice!  Agreed, certainly been thinking about that too, while studying to learn from this phenomenon. In an odd way, the hits just keep on coming each and every day with no signs of slowing down.

It is by far the fastest growing, after just two weeks, poised to take the #1 spot on the channel.   There is an old saying, "Lies can figure, but figures can't lie."   These figures speak for themselves.  What can be learned from this to apply to the next episode?

Trouble is you may actually be driving people away from your channel if you don't deliver. Korrelan is right - it just seems like click bait.

For your next episode how about trying to write a little story to go with the image.

Also where are the previous episodes ?

I suspect they might be saying the same as we are unfortunately.

Yep 1 like and 9 dislikes so far from only 300 odd views...

We did say.

"In this episode, Sophia persuades her creator to build her a state of the art female android body. With her new found independence, Sophia decides she wants nothing to do within her creator."

If that's not promising a story then I don't know what is, sorry.

Well I'm just being honest with you. You presented this in the way you did and I relayed how I felt about it for feedback.

I know the percentage is about 3%, but generally the majority of people don't bother to click like or dislike on YT videos. For them to be so out of whack like that is worth noting.

The music was nice though I should say, just I was expecting something to happen.  :)

If this Episode was this static and without purpose for the general viewing public, as we also to assume that we should simply be happy that we didn't witness the first two Episodes?

TO be quite honest, I'm glad I skipped through the video timeline, otherwise I would have wasted my entire 13 minutes of my life instead of about 13 seconds.

Those melodic sounding piano sounds were without purpose in that static "episode".

(With apologies to my grandma who always cautioned us as children about not saying anything if we had nothing nice to say). Most feel that if ya don't tell them, they'll never know.

We certainly hope that Mr. Hanson is OK with using his name and visual content as well. Hate to see you get in trouble.

Never heard of an educational, parody, collage, fan video ever causing an issue. All the same, all original is better.  So,  if you feel you missed something... You'll just have to wait for to see an all original work that applies the feedback and all that was learned.

Sorry we were all so critical  :(

Fan art and suchlike is fine in my humble opinion if that is what it was - lots of people do it. Your's didn't seem exploitative but I think we were just expecting something that was not there.

Yes, apologies if that was indeed the case but you often seem to spread the moment of what is promised, somewhat thicker than that which is delivered.

It's always easier to claim the obvious after the fact. If you had informed your potential viewers that it was going to be a parody or a static image, I dare say you might have had less viewers.

Original works are usually better received than to use some else's work(s). Almost sense a pattern here...

At any rate best of luck with Episode 4. (and 1 & 2).

Apologies for making it feel an apology was necessary.

Feedback and critiques are welcome and encouraged.

That is the whole point of sharing fan created content.

Art said,  "you often seem to spread the moment of what is promised, somewhat thicker than that which is delivered"

You are right about that.  The reason for this is that some A.I. research is not easy to deliver.   PC Controlled talking robot heads that mechanically lipsync to text to speech, for example is a lot of fun to research, but it is not easy to deliver.   Maybe that explains why it is more commonly found in fancy research laboratories.

Try rigging a bone system into the female android SVG file above.   Doable definitely.  Not suggesting members here can't do it, but still this is an example of research that is tricky to figure out and deliver on, I think.

BINA48 designed to resemble Bina Aspen, wife of Martine Rothblatt, founder of the Terasem Movement.  This image  is educational.  The red and black wires are power, I think, with the yellow or white wires sending signals to the servos.
