one word - wow. That chick has a very natural movement that pulled me right out of the 'uncanny valley'. I think these types of artificial humans are going to be very popular somehow in the future, maybe with AI that turns them into full on PC chatbot assistants or robots ( if attached to sensors and effectors).

:D Yeah I thought wow too hehe.  I really liked the part where she was moving forward and swinging her hips, that was really convincing for me.  They also did some nice work on her expressions too I thought.

And yes I agree they could prove very popular, we just need an advance in processing power to do this real-time.  Although maybe you could just have a large animation library that would always be providing new content - some clever animators could set up a web server that sends new animations to our desktop characters on demand.

Art, who was that Microsoft girl that fronted the search engine ?  You remember ?  Recorded footage and skits played randomly...I forget, but I know they dropped her in the end.

Search engine? You mean Bing? Sorry, I don't recall seeing any such ad to that effect.

The last thing I recall seeing was Claire with the young boy for the X-Box promotion of
their virtual world, Natal.

Then again...it could be the cobwebs...you know...they sometimes appear just overnight..

;)

:D  I actually remembered her name last night when I was going to bed (be careful using a sentence like that)...

Oh yeah, I liked her.
She don't exist anymore???
I use to visit quite a bit then something else took my attention and she was forgotten.

Thank you for showing that link to the clip. Amazingly well done work was displayed there. I would hate to think of the time that was put into rendering. That is unless an render farm was used.

Yeah nice isn't it.  I'm betting it was using a render farm, but you never know, these home made things can have some very patient creators.
