Looking for test images
« on: April 05, 2011, 03:59:00 pm »
I'm testing (and finishing) an edge detection algorithm. For that, I'm looking for some simple 'test' images, the size of icons (there-abouts). Basically, I'm looking for some lines, triangles, squares, circles,... in various sizes, locations and angles, no colors yet. Anyone has some icons perhaps?

ye, but those still need formatting: cut out, resize...
I used to have a bunch of these old-school icons, but they somehow got lost while moving from computers, long ago. I'll see what I can do.

If you want to give me some specifications, Jan, I can see about sending you a few dozen icon sized images in several image formats (JPEG, BMP, WMF, GIF, etc.). Just let me know what you need and when I get home, I'll see what I can whip up. I'm expecting to be home from this road trip on Friday or Saturday (the van isn't moving as fast as hoped, and so the trip is taking longer). ?Having a good time, though, so I'm willing to put up with the delay.

Thanks GCC! not much to say about specifications, any default format will do (ico, bmp, png,...) As long as they aren't too big, cause I need to debug each pixel separately (which becomes tedious at 400*400). The idea is to test simple shapes at various positions. I don't need tons, just a few, simple old school stuff (images that don't have any shadow or with blured lines, you know), to get started.
At the moment, I'm testing with manual input, at sizes of 4*4, 5*5,... to get the very basics up and running (finding adjacent pixels and retrieving the outline of shapes).
