I not only saw it, but enjoyed it. While the plot left something to be desired, the effects were stunning, and the cast did a fine job. Mom got the blue ray the other day, so we're going to watch it in 3D this evening.

I saw the original. OK but nothing really spectacular...even for its time.
I got that thing between the Users and Programmers but even so only
a 6 out of 10 maybe.

I don't know how much of a departure the new version is from the older
one so maybe a scan of some of the trailers is in order.

I agree with dave...to me it was more of a plot thing...or lack of one.
