Oh? They don't like my site anymore?
« on: June 04, 2009, 05:57:51 pm »

After being for several months #3 in Google, when typing "Haptek" (#1 and #2 for two Haptek pages, lol), my site suddenly disappeared from Google screens. Crashed in the ocean of VR/AI. No survivor.

Even with several keywords, quite impossible to find a link to the url below. Lost in cyberspace. Blacklisted? Or just paranoiac (me)? ::)

Of course, I can understand they didn't like the meta description tag which appeared in the results: "Haptek skits with several characters, the lovely Meghan & some other sexbots from Pandorabots, Putty Heads, Haptek & Visual Basic experiments". What? Sexbots? OMG! ;D

Funny, the Chinese Google is still keeping the site on the first page, as before. I love China.

Not a real problem, my love story with Haptek things was over, and my site a museum. Back in SL. :)

That's odd.  I found we are listed on pages two and three when I searched today.  It's similar for Yahoo...page two I think it was.  Well maybe it's time you made a banner and we could add it to our links page ?  :)

Thanks Freddy, all that is not important but I like to experiment with search engines, too. ;)

Only a few people per day watch my little jokes or chat with my bots, so I like to know where they are from and how much time they spent on the site (sometimes 2 seconds, sometimes 2 hours, lol). I noticed they often came after typing "Haptek" in Google.

Now if they type "Haptek skits", it still appears in pole position and it's finally not too bad. I'm not blacklisted. :)

I will see if getting rid of "sexbots" in the meta tag changes something. It will take a lot of days or months (it's easier and faster to be well referenced in SL, lol). Maybe it will change nothing.

By the way, the Chinese Google was just a little bit late: same than the other Googles! ;D

Glad to hear you are not blacklisted.  Usually I think Google only censors really bad sites, but I am not really sure of how they do those things or how they decide what we should not look at.  Best of luck  :)

By the wy, I found you on page 12 at Google UK :

Many thanks for searching, Freddy. Wow, from page 1 to page 12! What a fall!

It's finally the right place. It was a cool adventure but I have nothing to do with those people from Haptek. ;D

Sorry for boring you again with that without-any-interest egocentric information, but today, back to position #3. ;D

THE END

(maybe)
