Sharing Haptek Heads and Fullbody skins
« on: November 16, 2007, 05:03:43 pm »
The gallery now has a section devoted to Haptek heads which I hope will complement the posting of heads in the forum.

It's a simple process...

  • Go to the gallery section and enter the 'Haptek Heads' category.
  • Choose to Add a picture.
  • Give your head a title.
  • Make sure the category shows 'Haptek Heads'.
  • In the description be sure to include a URL from where members can download the head.
  • Optionally add in a few keywords to help in finding the head (eg blonde, cute, female) seperated by commas.
  • Browse to a screenshot of your character from your PC.
  • Finally, click on 'Add Picture'.

I have placed an example head in the gallery here...

I'm figuring it will be a lot easier for people to see members work like this than having to search the forum.  Also if you move your head to another URL, then you will only have to alter the URL in the description.  Members also have the option of commenting on a head just as they can in the forum.

Latest...

I have now also added a section for fullbody skins.  The process of posting them is the same as for heads, just make sure you post them in the right category so people can find them.

As everyone has probably already noticed, there is a new panel on the left side.  This will update automatically when folks post something new in the gallery.

Enough coding and things for one day for me, I'm off to bed.

Yes  ;D I should have added that this came about because Jack was concerned heads wouldn't get so much exposure.  Thanks for that Jack.

Dusky, from the looks of that screeny you have collapsed the left hand side 'blocks'

Next to home are 2 arrows (one up, one down)...get the blocks back to be able to see what your missing :)

Sorry I jumped off topic.  I was in a panic.

Getting back to heads, they look like cream of the crop.

Very nice ones by everyone.   ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for sorting Dusky out Mav...I went to bed last night thinking how the heck am I going to fix that one!  Well observed mate  ;D

By the way everyone - I know a lot of people have found places to store their files online, can some of you suggest a few places that other people can use if they need them.   I forget the names - is one Image Shack or something?
