Putty Head on Torso

I am not sure if it has been done before.
I have just been playing with a torso and put a people putty head on it.
From what i can see the putty face has not changed like it does if you put it on a full body.

All i did was paste the head onto the torso skin.
They all move together.
Not sure if the arms move or if it is just a static torso.
Dropped a couple of hap files on it but nothing worked.
Maybe different torso or different haps.
Neil.

neil this is how i did all my former torso people. you can resize cut and paste any head htr skin onto anyfull body male or female or m/f torso with the same process. this is how i made elvis and girl on the beach and dancing. if you go to zabaware forum and look up aladyblonds posts you can see all the people i made using this process. ~~alady.

I'm begining to learn a bit how to put putty
head on fullbody...

However, I'm wondering about the following:
1) I find a nice body (.htr), how can I change
it to a skin (texture) so i can paste my putty
head on it? 2) say I'm able to paste my putty
head on the body texture, how can I change it
to a .htr so I can view it live in HapPlayer AX?
and most importantly, how do I SAVE IT (new htr)
3) this enables me to add my putty head features
(face, eyes, nose...etc)...but what about the hair?
will it add my putty head's hair? if not, how can I
add my putty's hair on the new fullbody assume I don't
like the fullbody's original hair? 4) if the head's
skin (texture) color doesn't match with the fullbody,
how can I fix it? Sorry it's too many questions but I
hope others benefit from it as well :)

Here's a couple of pointers so you can get an idea of whats going on...

http://72.240.116.125/dg/dgforum/index.php/topic,96.0.html

Try the first page of that tutorial, the rest is aimed at the older Hal5 but it explains the basic way to control skins.

1) That tutorial should help you to the answer there, but find a jpg image file from your pictures or any kind of picture (.jpg or .bmp) and drag and drop it onto the figure in the player...thats one way.? The tutorial goes a bit further showing you how to use commands to do it and there are further help posts from Doc and myself in the Help section of the forum.

2) You will not be able to save it as an htr (that would require further software from Haptek) so people usually go the route of using commands (within hap files) to control the textures or simply do the drag and drop trick.

3) Again take a look in the tutorial section and especially Doc's Haptek Commands and Queries reference which is a fine resource for things Haptek - you will find commands that can be used to remove and add items.? It's not too hard to find the info, and for what you want to do you will only need to read up on a few commands...

4) Thats a graphics job and would require an photo/image editor and a lot of spare time lol, that's true enough but moreover you need to edit the skin using things like blends, colour fades, merges, blurs and colour balances to disguise the differences.

I hope that helps in some way, it is not a short answer but most of the answers are already here.

Good luck, have fun. post again if you get lost in there!

Also, Aladyblond ( are you there? ) did a guide very recentley and I am sure it was about putting a head on a fullbody but I forget if it was here or on Zaba.? Aladyblond???
