I was making a handheld computer and thought Ultra hal would be great to use with Windows C.E any thought or input would be nice
-
Some of us here have know of individuals who claim to have run UltraHal on a flash drive or thumb drive.
Given their size and the size of the program, I'm sure it's possible.
The one thing to be cautious of would be if the program either needed ot tried to make any external programming calls (from one routine to an external source).
I guess you could install it on / in a mobile platform provided it was windows based. No one to date has successfully installed Hal in a Linux (Ubuntu or other) environment.
Make sure the DLL's all go in as well.
Good luck!

OK I may try this in a windows C.E
I'll post my successes and findings as I continue this project for anyone who may be interested

what i've planned so far is hal on a gumstix overo fire version (might have misspelled)
the specs can be found here http://www.gumstix.com/store/catalog/index.php?cPath=27
perhaps the fire version can provide enough processing pover to run ultra hal
any and all info will be great

I've checked on some of the work and specs and alot seems possible
I hope to attempt a prototype by march but this project looks promising
wish me luck and I hope the experts will be standing by I'm going to need LOTS of help
-
Will be interesting to see if Hal will run on windows C.E and Haptek too come to think of it.
Good luck Sigma X.

everything may run pretty good I just got to get a few componets to start but from the specs this could work pretty good
-
It's beena a while sorry for not updating on my work I started on some ...projects but I figured hal can run on mini xp then it can run on a gumstix although it'll be a bit slow currently i'm working on a solution for that
but now i'm working on a budget solution now because I broke my last gumstix but I'm making good progress and close to somthing interesting
-
Glad to see you are still working on this, good luck with it :)

thanks for the support I would like to see what program hal will be using for character development
