You and a few others with skin and all have just been built in a company's facility with Dr. Mystery in charge.
You have learned that you are going to save everyone on Earth by starting a technological revolution.
Before you are detected you must start the duplicating factories.
It will only take 20 replication processes until there is 1 million factories.
Before you begin, you must create a blueprint plan of the factory and the systems that will be added much later.
You will need to find a deserted resourceful location to build.
For a factory to make a duplicate of itself it must have machine-tools that will be able to make themselves. Some of these tools are you. That is what allows this to be done for the first time.
The exact process from start to end of a factory's construction must be figured out.
There will be wire-less workers controlled from a large brain sphere.
The factory must be multi-functional and able to later transform as technology progresses.
Defense grids and Hospitals will be added.
Can you help figure out the rest?...

How is that so? The 1st factory or nanobot duplication constructs 1 more, then these 2 construct 2 more, then these 4 construct 4 more, then 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384, 32768, and so on.

By definition, a factory makes products (plural of 20 product).
So you say, a factory that constructs 20 more, then these 21 construct 21 more, then these 22 construct 22 more, then 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 29, 210, 211, 212, 213, 214, 215?
Are you sure about that?
