Welcome aboard!

I too have been experimenting for a few years with RiveScript. It's a really nice platform.

Enjoy your journey!

Question:  May Java be the language you prefer for building a chatbot?

A common denominator between RiveScript and Program AB is Java, I think.

RiveScript also supports Go, JavaScript, Perl or Python.

 :) thanks all.

I don't know Korrelan - I'm a programming newbie

I tried visual basic a few weeks ago and did some  ...basic programs. Then I saw RiveScript and thought "that looks do-able"
..and then I saw the javascript version and thought it would be a bit better(maybe easier) for me to use with a html page
I got it going though..

Assuming a large number of records in the chatbot brain.  JavaScript may be the best choice for RiveScript over the web, I think.

It was great fun, running RiveScript, as a novice competitor, in an international chatbot contest finishing just behind the winners.

A drawback with JavaScript, may be a difficulty entering chatbot contests which are not web-based.

For the latest support on RiveScript interpreters , Noah Petherbridge, who wrote RiveScript may help.
