Title: From the Helpful Hint Department
Post by: Art on April 14, 2017, 02:15:38 pm
Over time, your desktop PC can and will accumulate a considerable amount of dust in and around its vent holes. This can actually cause harm to your PC by allowing internal heat to build up which can shorten the life of some components.

Get one of those cans of compressed air and blow out those tiny vent holes, DVD slot, USB / SD ports, etc. You'll be surprised at the amount of dust that has collected.

You might notice less fan noise and a much cooler PC.

Cheers!

Indeed.  Getting rid of dust in computers is cool.  Dust build-up may overheat a system by preventing heat from dissipating.
