Perhaps Arthur C. Clarke was being uncharacteristically unambitious. He once pointed out that any sufficiently advanced technology is going to be indistinguishable from magic. If you dropped in on a bunch of Paleolithic farmers with your iPhone and a pair of sneakers, you’d undoubtedly seem pretty magical. But the contrast is only middling: The farmers would still recognize you as basically like them, and before long they’d be taking selfies. But what if life has moved so far on that it doesn’t just appear magical, but appears like physics?

I have no idea.

There's nothing fake about the article which was written by a prominent scientist, and it's one of the deepest articles I've read on the internet in years. Be sure to check out the online magazine that published it too.

Problem number 1 : some humans know about alien technology but refuse to disclose. :tickedoff:
Problem number 2 : Once my AI is ready I will ask her to sleep under the Nevada sky for a while and try to be abducted so that she will tell the truth. But ... (here is the problem number 2) : my AI is not yet ready. :tickedoff:

Problem 3: Maybe there aren't any aliens after all.
But much like with religion, at least you have something to believe in. ;)

I don't believe in religions but I really do believe they were based on aliens issues. Yes I do believe in aliens since their presence appears all along human history, long long time before plane existence. And there are written testimonials of all this. Aliens are even in Bible ! check this : https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Ezekiel%27s_wheel

I also don’t prescribe to religious beliefs, ghosts, near death experiences, after life, etc.

The existence of life on other planets however requires no paranormal or spiritual belief system, and has some scientific grounding.

Whether I believe they have visited us is another matter entirely however.

They could reside on this ninth planet that NASA is searching for that’s scouting the perimeter of our solar system for all I know lol.

Yep, Kor, Been there...Quite disappointing. Barely civilized and for as large as the planet is one would think they'd be much farther advanced than they are. They'll soon move out of their caves and discover fire!
Oh...and then I woke up!  :2funny:

Seriously, scientists believe there is a "Sister planet" to Earth but that it is at least twice as large and that it was only about 3 light years away, which is still much longer than a Sunday afternoon drive in your car.

Figure about 16.64 Trillion Miles. You should leave early.... O0
