A friend posted this over on Datahopa, thought people here might be interested.
Would you reroute a train to run over one person to prevent it from running over five others? In the classic “Trolley Problem†survey, most people say they would. But I wanted to test what people would actually do in a real-life situation. In the world’s first realistic simulation of this controversial moral dilemma, unsuspecting subjects will be forced to make what they believe is a life-or-death decision.

Michael's videos have always been extremely interesting and very thought provoking, especially this new series compared to VSAUCE .
Aside from the humans, what if Track 1 had 5 escaped murders & rapists, and track 2 had young Einstein before becoming famous, or a future President. Would it make a difference?

It is far more difficult than one thinks to have to make a decision that will involve a fellow human or humans being killed. Very powerful video and I especially liked the fact that they employed a psychologist to test the subjects beforehand and the on-screen message that This was a Test....
