Most do not recall the movie Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970). IT was a great, thought-provoking movie for its time.

Forbin is the designer of an incredibly sophisticated computer that will run all of America's nuclear defenses. Shortly after being turned on, it detects the existence of Guardian, the Soviet counterpart, previously unknown to US Planners. Both computers insist that they be linked, and after taking safeguards to preserve confidential material, each side agrees to allow it. As soon as the link is established the two become a new Super computer and threaten the world with the immediate launch of nuclear weapons if they are detached. Colossus begins to give its plans for the management of the world under its guidance. Forbin and the other scientists form a technological resistance to Colossus which must operate underground.

I loved that movie so much I bought it on DVD and I have a high quality rip on my laptop so I can watch it again whenever. I've been thinking about it a lot the past few days. It is entirely relevant to the conversation here, but few people are comfortable with the way it is resolved.

Compare to the more recently made "Eagle Eye" which was equally realistic, but didn't have the guts to end the way it should have.

You, my friend, are certainly entitled to your own beliefs and opinions but for me, Heaven is a place for those people to go who are afraid of the dark. Nothing more. Dead, Lights out. Everything has a life span, trees, flowers, animals, people. When you're time is up, it's up. Into the hole for a very long dirt-nap!
Enjoy while the ASI has taken over what's left of the world and mankind is no longer needed nor required.

That's about as real as I can make it. Live as if today is your last and one day you'll be right!

Another one that I'll wager IS in your library as it is in mine is Enemy of Tha State - Gene Hackman, Will Smith. The technology is based on truth and as mentioned by Mr. Hackman by his character, The NSA is tasked to stay 10 years ahead of whatever technology is currently available.
So just imagine the possibilities, and that film was a 1998 movie...20 years ago!!!
Now that's scary!

All you need is some milligrams of the fog. No purple rundown new new yorks I'm afraid. The AGIs will actually build stuff like structs in space in all but the sleekness/goo will come so fast. Until then, cyberpunk progress will be all humans can handle out for now.

Each nano particle will have memory & a processor. Each cubic foot could have trillions of nano goo particles who link to each other forming more memory and processing power than any human can imagine. I wonder how fast they could transform matter into nano goo particles. The entire Earth would become a massive computer. Well, if it does away pain and human ignorance & ego, then maybe it's a good thing. It would popular the solar system and beyond, increasing the overall Universal intelligence. Five or so years ago I'd never imagine saying something like that lol, but after the past year of watching politics and those in charge, it kind of changes your view point of things.

So what would this goo do? We're talking about intelligence that we could never understand. Would it form shapes? Would it create big objects, space crafts, artificial planets? Would it create a virtual world? Can you imagine what that virtual world would be like?

I wonder if it's practical that they run an updated virtual world replica of their environment so they know where they're going and recognize objects by single bit identity keys requiring NO lights in the real world.

EDIT - You can find the exact numbers online but it takes about a day or so for 1 nanobot multiplication to transform Earth into nanobots cellz.

Anybody see Terminator Genesis featuring a T3000? It's made of fog/liquid bots that is reallllly cool. Such PUNK.

These days im into using distortion like a phaser, sounds pretty cool, but i get so lazy barely have the energy to try. its worth it tho, if i ever get off technology love to relax and just make music for a whole.

i painted a concept for bot i want to make here. its a bit messy but i like it. (its a black metal beetle robot. u can just wobbly percieve a power plug inbetween his legs :)) but its just mainly his body shape and eye thats in half decent.

I do computer rendering too. i love skin renders, specular + subsurface scattering blurs makes real monsters.

It's the biggest art sales I'm aware of. Upload high quality photo. Specify price for various sizes. People pick size, type of canvas. Fine art prints it and ships. You get paid. I'm sure you can find some people to buy your last black & white one.
