These conferences are good and all,  but the strange thing i take about these situations is the lack of privacy of the technology, why maybe the really knowledgable guys might not be at these places.

Encyption is more powerful when secrets are kept about the descriptor for the encryption,  then even a quantum computer cant crack it because it doesnt have the method.   Secret keeping is the old school way to be sure your data is safe.  and its always been true.
