Title: You won’t own copyright in photos taken with Google’s new camera
Post by: Art on March 23, 2018, 11:26:13 am
Just who's camera is it? or Who really took that picture? Can an AI lay claim to a copyright?

That is an interesting case, and I would agree with Australia that there are no copyrights when no human is involved in the "creative" process. That means anything this camera shoots without human intervention is immediately in the public domain for anyone to use. Unless of course, Google's terms of use state that all copyrights belong to the company, as has been the case with certain artistic software like Magix Music Maker.

So at what point in the filter chain does the company own your photo? :)
