Title: Hi there
Post by: SofS on August 14, 2018, 09:10:58 am
Hello everyone,

I'm a fellow AI enthuasiast, although not being good enough in maths and programming to make my own AI ! lol ! But I'm very fond of the whole topic in itself, I love watching videos and reading articles about AI development, deep learning and similar subjects. I also have a deep passion for fictional AI, as I began reading Asimov's robot stories at 15 and I've been interested in fictional AI characters and plots ever since :)
I even created a forum about fictional AI, even if it's still very young and empty (you can find the link in my profile).

Seeya soon !

I'm feeling a bit awkward asking that, but do some of you know how I could maybe link my community to yours ? I think we could be complementary, as mine is about fictional AI mostly and this one is mostly about real technologies :D

Have you got a link to your site/community please ?

Once we get to know you we can certainly offer ways of helping get your message promoted. :)

Yes, the link to my forum is in my profile, but wouldn't it break forum rules or etiquette to post it publicly ? I don't want to sound like I'm pushing people.

We do have over 145 links/submissions in the AI/Film and Literature section full of book reviews and recommendations plus many film and trailers. Good stuff to search through as time permits. O0

Okay then :)
Thank you :)
My forum link is: http://souls-of-soong.boards.net
Most of us founding members are Star Trek fans with a particular interest in Star Trek AI, especially commander Data, who was engineered by a cyberneticist called Noonien Soong. Hence the "Souls of Soong" name :)
Our sections revolve mostly about fictional AI and synthetic lifeforms. We have an Asimov section, a Soong androids section, a Japanese fictional AI section...As well as subforums for real life AI, programming, robotics and such.
