Title: Atlas Autonomous Path Planning Across Narrow Terrain
Post by: Art on May 09, 2019, 01:35:47 pm
Yes, Atlas is deciding the correct path and steps to take.
It shows human-like movements as it decides its moves. Very nice!

All that practice with spot mini transferred to atlas it looks like.   Its got very careful feet.

Im still working on my walker! With the one Im making,  as long as it can simulate itself tip in time, it should stay on track with just a target velocity.   But im yet to test it properly,  haven't even tested stairs yet,  still more physics bugs to iron out.   Progress has kinda grinded to a halt... :P

Maybe I could help it out by making it never putting its foot over too much depth.   Amazingly, Just that simply it could work.   If you can warn it in advance it makes it more predictable but its always a good idea to.

It's a walking motor cortex! It's probably a matter of time before an AGI is put at the controls. Or alternately we could use these for VR planet exploration. Go in the VR room on your space ship and deploy humanoid robots to the surface. Much more safe and fuel efficient.

Oh muh gurd... this technology is really impressive. Whats next? I predict the next Boston dynamics video will feature tight rope walking. Then they will quickly graduate to dancing on the heads of pins. Still, it's not AGI so we don't have to worry about being out of a hobby quite yet.

What's next is when they become cheap enough to put that robocop gladiator in the video above into a death ring and FIGHT

It will be 2 UK boxers using a VR controlled joy stick substitute...no bruises!!! Thank god. The 2 men/women behind the robots get to kick the shi$ out of each other's bolts and nuts! And watch it go flying in the ring. Now we can fight to the bloody death and really kick some cells. Hordes of CREATURES with multiple colors, tentacles, sensors, motors, brains distributed, flight, morphing, omg crazy things.

They will also be given flamethrowers, machine guns, lasers, and swords and sludge hammers! Like Halo/Alien vs Predator.

And will be 50% autonomous and use ex. 20 rotating eyes etc reflexes etc.

AUTOMUS PRIME vs GLORY GOD

ROUND 3, YOU HAVE 3 BODIES LMAO

WTF is that.....that's just how I imagined it.........................I have not seen that movie or my envision before...cool, 'wish granted' -video received-

Beat me to it hehe (Googling it)

the wiki explains the movie, sounds just like i imagined too, buying robots....reaching championships....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Steel

now the date released: October 7, 2011 (United States) .....I was 15 years old ..... I don't 100% think I seen the movie.....there's a chance I may have though I guess... as I did watch too many movies around idk age 13 or 15

Of course, the creatures I imaged fighting with weapons is definitely NEW.....so my video generator does worky hehe.

I guess it's safe to assume that you haven't ever experienced this early predecessor:

Those little wrestling toys are great fun,  I remember having one, and lusting after wwf superstars or whatever it was on tv. hehe =)
