If you're looking for efficiency, look at bird brains. They've had a lot more time to refine their design. Some of the stuff that nature's done with birds, could help to avoid the foreseeable size and mobility problems of man made AGI.

I'm not into doing ai from the natural perspective,  except maybe accidentally knowing general concepts.
My heart bird, is the pigeon, like Bert from Sesame Street, I love them, and their little familiar call in the morning when I wake up every day... and unfortunately also they end up a cats breakfast every day.
Goes to show you cant win in life.
