Title: How cheap can you make an accurate 3d space?

Once upon a time....I met a construction guy once.  Brining in a machine would have the machine use lasers to create points so that the work on this persons kitchen counter would be accurate to a point.

I found the whole thing to be over priced.  It made me wonder though.  What tech do we already commonly use to create 3d spaces?

Hello! You mean for specking out real world spaces using some sort of high tech gadgets? Nothing comes to mind. But it could be a good use for a VR headset. Draws lines in the air for you based on computer model while you walk around and see how it meshes with your real world space.
