Introducing the new Bigtrak XTR coming in 2012, my company Conceptioneering licensed this to Zeon Tech. We think it will make a great low cost robot development platform! With its unique magnetic clutch skid/steer drive mechanism, it moves in straight lines! this was one of the big innovations of the original Bigtrak back in the eighties. XTR has 2 universal accessory ports with lots of accessories already developed (see sizzle below) and more planned including ultrasonic ranging and thermal tracking etc.

The XTR wireless camera is really cool! At the end of the video you can see XTR tracking and following a coloured ball this is part of the experimental software that we are currently developing as part of our XTR advanced features trials.

Wow Bigtrak takes me back a bit. My cousin had one and I was green with jealousy. Good luck with this and thanks for popping in.
