Probably not.

Squarebear, in principle, it is illegal. But many people do that. If it is for a single use, it is not a violation against the right of the author. But if it's use, to the public, then it is illegal, it depends on the law of the respective country. :)

Please note, Website Streaming, are totally legal. Because they are linked to youtube daily motion, and that the site of the film in accordance with the legal streaming.
Streaming is legal, not downloading.

But, my friend, I seriously doubt if any of the Authors are doing the uploading. It is usually done by fans, well meaning people who feel the right to share should be...well...Shared! These people are still Pirates by any other name and if caught, I'm sure them will be prosecuted under the law of whichever state or country gets them first. Today, there is only running...there is NO hiding any longer.
(like it is said, don't run, you'll only end up going to prison tired!)

Art, It's a risk. Certainly tolerated for now. Of course this is a big risk to send such a product on the internet, it leaves traces.
There's also youtube, where the whole film is released, at the sight of all. I know that here in France, the law prohibits the downloading of music and film, but for now, no laws prohibit the viewing.

This post is 4 years old but the same premise holds true. Everyone should check Article 8 of the T.O.S. for any clarification on such postings here.
Granted, YouTube and other sites have people who post with regularity, all sorts of Full-length videos. Whether they end up being traced and hauled off to a holding cell is another story and one that only they might know.
Basically, one can find anything one wishes to find on the Internet. Dig deep enough and your wish can come true. ::)

It looked like there were certain provisions that were completely legal using that box. For instance, if one had secured a proper subscription service (paid to stream/view), then no problems. Then again, that page wanted me to click to see everything and being suspicious I didn't.
Interesting to see how many sites, devices, and locations could be affected.
I guess most will simply watch and listen to what they want until someone or some ruling tells them differently.

There are. It boils down to what repo you program into your box so you can pull media from it. You can usually find the ones with pirated content listed in youtube videos. They recommend using a VPN.
What used to be more or less acceptable behavior is now far from it.
