Title: Aiml window based chat bot?
Post by: DemonRaven on December 01, 2014, 05:26:13 am
Besides the numerous web site program adaptions of AIML is there a actual working chatbot you can download and chat with that is not in the old repository?

You can download Kari4 from Lhandslide Studios at www.kairgilr.com (http://www.kairgilr.com)

The Karigirl program can be tweaked as the user sees fit. It can become a pretty good chatbot if you dial down some of the settings like Ego, Libido, etc. It has been well supported for years and is very reasonably priced. Runs on XP, Vista, Win7 and Win8. Costs between $24 - $34 USD.

For AIML do it yourself programs, check out Program O or perhaps Program AB (which I experiment with locally, on just MY computer and not someone's server somewhere. Do check out a program called, Rivescript. It is very easy to grasp and use, powerful with a great set of commands to tailor your own chatbot. Keep in mind that with the exception of Kari, the O, AB and RiveScript are TEXT only bots and do not come with a GUI / character / avatar.

Some of the Pandora Bots might appeal to you as they use AIML and often feature an animated character.

There's lots to choose from. For some additional brain picking, check out our friend site of www.chatbots.org (http://www.chatbots.org)  - Good Luck!

ChatScript is another excellent one.  ( Not AIML though )
