My entire life.

Because I won't succeed, so I would die and cost my whole life before I could even make it.

http://www.projectaiko.com/

I read somewhere that Aiko cost her creator about $USD30k most of which came from his credit cards.

So like a real girlfriend isn't she?

Because I am no longer interested in A.I as of the current situation of everything I am seeing. Additionally, I find myself to be happy to live in my daydream worlds, rather than with A.I as of now.

Additionally, I can't continue on A.I as I need to get a life. I'm too busy with getting started with art and indie game making, literally shoving aside my stupid dreams.

Edit: Although I wanted the idea of NerveGear from Sword Art Online and Virtual Reality of true A.Is (it is part of my plan, but without the NerveGear), my brain now is powerful enough for that, I don't think my life is long enough to wait for such dream to come true.

in a way I envy you, because when I try to solve something or gain a skill
I can't stop.
for 3 year I have tried unsuccessfully to do a muscle up and it took lots of my time
and I wanted to stop and use the time for other things but I couldn't.
yesterday I managed to do muscle up.

Throw a couple of lost houses and several cars etc into the cost and yeah! She’ll seem real enough! lol

All the pieces for such a dream are already in development by various companies.  It just takes someone to bring all the bits together into a cohesive system.  Combine this headset tech with VR and a ‘real’ AGI and the jobs done. The big corporations are already developing these systems; that’s why they buy up the smaller companies. The next few years are going to be very interesting.

Hmmm… you seem a little down hearted regarding the future… I’m not sure if a pep talk is required but I’m going to give one anyway… switching to ‘father’ mode…

C’ome over here boy, sit down and shut the f*uck up… and listen…

You’re a tool…were all tools…

Life is what you make it and no one gives you anything for free; it’s up to you to carve your future in this world.  Your young… and I know sometimes life seems unfair and daunting; but we all have too go through the same feelings and experiences… it’s called ‘becoming an adult’… so man the f*ck up…lol.

Life’s not about the destination… it’s about the journey (cliché? lol) never stop learning or following your dreams; especially as you get older… your dreams will keep you young at heart. Don’t become one of those ‘dead inside’ adults you often see… you know the type… they sit there on the train looking drained and sullen… just going through the motions of existing wishing they had took a different path through life…

Dreams and goals are important… every thing you learn and experience changes who you are and gets you closer to your dream… dreams are there too give you a destination too strive for… without a destination what’s the point in the journey.

Now… why did I call you a tool? (I would try to give reasons and examples)

How do you make fire from ice?

Your ‘thoughts’ consist of complex patterns that represent all the facets of a piece of knowledge or concept. So this question (greatly simplified) fires off two patterns, one for fire and one for ice.  You probably know of several ways of making fire and all the patterns that represent this knowledge are triggered along with all the properties of ice. There doesn’t seem too be a connection… if there was any similarity in the patterns, a point where the patterns representing ‘methods of making fire’ phased into the patterns representing the properties of ice… you would have the solution.

Once you learn/ consider the optical properties of ice… you have the link.  Fashion a magnifying glass from the ice and use the sun to start the fire… simple.

Life is like this… things seem complicated at first but as you get older it all starts too make sense.

Your brain is a tool, each bit of knowledge you learn fits into place and everything becomes clearer… sharper… less muddled.  If you’re under 30 you are still reeling from the synaptic cull that hit you in your late teens.  As you get older and your brain changes you will think differently… clearer… dare I say wiser?  Your emotions won’t have such a big effect on your daily thoughts and life will feel easier… it does get easier… so long as you never stop learning… and dreaming.

Don't let your emotions effect your outlook on AI... it's going too happen sooner or later... for better or worse.

Now go tidy your room… it’s a fikken pigsty…

Exit ‘father’ mode… hehe… I have no idea why I wrote that...

You could be the one person on this whole planet who has all the right pieces ready at the correct time and place to make the difference… don’t stop working towards AI... we need dreamers.

Besides the obvious strength required it’s the technique that counts, position, momentum and inertia are key… or just use a ladder to get up there… much easier lol.

Except that NerveGear and today's VR tech can't even be compared. NerveGear completely simulates one's mind and consciousness into the virtual digital world. While today's VR tech still require our body and have to be awake to control everything.

I'm laughing at this!  ;D

In that case, I will switch to my philosopher mode.  :)

You’re a tool…were all tools…
That is correct! As a philosopher, I can see that right away.
Although my original quote is...

"Everything is a tool" - Kei

Life is what you make it and no one gives you anything for free; it’s up to you to carve your future in this world.  Your young… and I know sometimes life seems unfair and daunting; but we all have too go through the same feelings and experiences… it’s called ‘becoming an adult’… so man up…lol.
Yes, I agreed.

"This is the life that I carved, and with this life, I carved a world to live in." - Kei

Pretty deep, eh?  ;)

Destination means goal, and the goal of life is survival, therefore, life is about destination.

To reach that destination, a journey is required, as the current world made it hardcore difficulty. Hopes and dreams are nothing more than a fuel to keep this journey steady, and steadfast towards the destination.

But then, everything has a cost.

"There is a time for everything, but not everything has enough time." - Kei

It is obvious to know when to start, continue, or stop, when our first trial weren't even about and dreams, it's about survival. If we keep latching onto thoughtless ideas, eventually we will succumb before we will realize, just like the world itself...

"Everyone can become an adventurer, but not every adventurer can be a victorious hero." - Kei

Now that I have taken an arrow to the knee, I've just became an ordinary city guard.   ;)
Just kidding about this line. LOL

Now… why did I call you a tool? (I would try to give reasons and examples)

Hmm, that's not the way I portray the idea, or perhaps because mine is said differently. Perhaps the correct way to say it is...

"Everything is like a tool to one and another" - Kei

As you can see, we're all tools to everything that related to. Well, there are no harm into that, unless the tool is being used without care, morally speaking...

Life, is indeed like this, I agreed. Well when I was a teenager, I had zero knowledge of philosophy, but I ended up becoming one because I keep thinking about life literally every darkest corner I could remember.  :idiot2:

As I get older, my life as a philosopher became more dependent on emotions to understand more about everything. It's the current way for me to make me at least accomplish something without ruining myself with all sorts of negativity.

"We are all selfish beings." - Kei

Our emotions are driven by only for ourselves, never for others. But what makes us able to coexist with others, was mutually being selfish within each other, sharing this selfishness, and gaining selfish trust as social beings.

We have our own rules to follow, and when we break that rule, the selfish monster within us unleashes. We hold each other in arms to prevent that, and guide each others' path through trust and reliance.

"Cherish what there is, cherish what there isn't enough, but seek when there is more, as nothing lasts forever." - Kei

Being able to participate into the A.I community and to explore their depths had given me experience and joy. But then I have better things to cherish now, and I shall hold onto it, but that also doesn't mean I shall give up, even though I proclaimed at once.

We're all sneaky bastards, ngee hee hee...  O0

But the unfortunate side of being a philosopher, is that I easily become blinded in almost every corners, crashing into something unexpected.

I can never be too careful, unless I keep changing my viewpoint to make sure...

Don't let your emotions effect your outlook on AI... it's going too happen sooner or later... for better or worse.

*Exits philosopher mode*... hoho... I wrote that for fun.  :2funny:

Well that's very inspiring. Thanks for writing all that, here's a cookie for you, my friend!  :)

My room, um... Alright, I will let you keep on calling me a pigsty. ;D

Poor man's 3D printer. Mould-able when hot... when cool forms rock hard nylon.  Make a mistake just warm it up again and re-mould.

Just don't build a fire fighting bot using it lol.
