Just found an interesting article, decided to share it with the community.
A company launched an experiment and put its team of software developers under AI contol (they simply sent their PM to a long business trip  ). So, it was AI they connected to task management system. It succeeded in implementing a strict discipline in a department by a penalty system. Discipline is ok, but what happened with employees? Some of them were fired because AI didn't take into account personal issues people could face. The rest were simply depressed and tired. Why so?

I suppose it would depend on how good the AI was. 

Sounds like this one suffered from a number of easily correctable problems.  Its lack of responsiveness to sick days and personal issues, and its willingness to fire someone who was actually considered crucial to the team, show that it's simply not taking enough parameters into account.

The conclusion that the neural net might have deliberately given one employee a low rating to improve his productivity by frustrating him is fascinating -- yet another goofy example of a machine learning algorithm "thinking outside the box" in ways that might not be desirable.

Agreed. A lot of people believe that an A.I. might simply look at thing in Black and White, positive or negative, good or bad without giving merit to or possibly weighing other criteria before making a conclusion or judgement.

With a lot of bot programs things are simply processed as they actually are, not how other circumstances might skew their results.

An A.I. criminal judge would certainly have a unique position that a human counterpart would not have and vice versa.

That's a good deal to think about....(such a judge might quickly reduce overcrowding in our prisons in the USA).
