I would develop and promote a single key feature of the AGI that would be useful to a large corporate without divulging the whole schema. I would then sell it for few hundred million, this would give me the funds to carry on with the rest in privacy.

Well we sort of know that humanoids/synths/androids do not exist...at least the made on Earth variety...yet. Look at that humanoid that was recently made a "citizen" of Abu Dhabi. So unrealistic in appearance, movement and speech. Dead giveaway.

However, Aliens (beings not from Earth), are reportedly to exist by more than just some weekend beer chugger!

What if THEY brought an android(s) or many with them and what if those were modeled after Human beings. After any variation in design would tend to make them even more believable as only genetic based twins, triplets, quads, etc. would share the same / similar look.
What if they are among us right now, quietly watching, listening, recording, practicing until everything is right.

There is no Secret code that can't be broken given enough super computer strength and time.
If the government or Military believes they can benefit from anything, they will have it before the week is out, if not sooner.
Even the most pick-proof locks are nothing more than deterrents to keep honest people honest.

If Synths are here they will leave as soon as they determine there's no intelligent life here.

A Secret is only a Secret if just one person knows about it. After that all bets are off. "Now Charlie told me not to tell anyone but you and I are great friends so..." How many times have you heard someone say something similar to that? Proves my point.
