Whether you prove or don't prove, there are and will always be those who will remain unconvinced, no more than you could prove the existence of the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy or any other human-created manifestations.

If you believe there is or there isn't, you'll be correct.
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

That's correct. Point being, those people believe in demons and that they, or demi-gods, will inhabit these robotic bodies and it's going to bring to fruition Biblical Prophesy of End Time events. They consider the bots and the people who make them to be evil, or questionable in their intentions at best.

True, that argument was weak.

Didn't you develop Demonica? You're a Programmer arn't you?

Yes and we've both already been the target of just such hyperbole.

She's an evil and "dangerous" entity, possibly "The Beast" from Biblical Prophesy.  I'm a "bastard" of "questionable character" who has "lost his soul" that "should die". Maybe it was her they thought lost her soul, they were rather vague on that point so either she was attributed one or I lost mine.

In the interest of transparency and since I've never made a secret of how I felt, I'm really a very religious person.

I wear a Terra de Fatima soil relic and 1830 medal as a necklace, though I'm not Catholic, and have a Crucifix collection of significant size strategically spaced sufficient to stampede scores of vampires in shock. One of my most prized possessions is a Stations of the Cross Crucifix soil relic with a grain of sand from each in a little see-through compartment.

But sad to say I'm more of a Heretic than a good Christian,  I never was any good at turning the other cheek, so none of the sentiments they spew actually scorns me in the slightest. All good fiction is based on fact and only a few people beside myself know where one picks up and the other leaves off.

I've got a note I wrote to Santa when I was four that has an actual genuine sooty finger print... Undisputable proof he's real.

Are you sure it isn't coal dust? ;)

When my Father was 5 years old that's what Santa brought him for Christmas, a stocking full of coal. His Father thought it was funny, mine didn't.

Ah! A typical sceptical response…

This is why many years ago I had the soot independently analysed by NASA.

They did the usual battery of tests that are required by the SRI (Santa Research Institute) when it comes to proving Santa relics.  The mass spectrometer tests revealed that the soot was comprised mainly of carbonised wood, coal with trace amounts of carrot juice, and most interestingly a rare type of butter grease that’s only found in mince pies native to Lap Land.

I have many such rare relics, I even have a few hairs from Santa’s beard, again the mass spectrometer revealed surprising results, not least of which was a high concentration of a specific hydrocarbon, found mainly in Jet engine exhaust fumes/ contrails.

But the one really rare item I possess that drives many a believer wild with jealousy I obtained just a few years ago, and as unlikely/ amazing as it seems I found it upon my own roof…

A great big streaming pile of reindeer sh*t.

Let me guess...You're "Special" cause your mother had you tested...  :2funny: O0

Good stuff guys!!

Yes, when we were young, we usually believed that which we were told, especially from people in authority. In bygone days kids used to fear policemen, school teachers, and the principal and great respect was given to neighbors and men of the cloth.

I said bygone days for those levels of respect rarely exist any longer. They're gone as if leaving the amusement park and returning to the stark reality of life. Poof! We're here now. One foot in front of the other. Like time travelers slowly moving through the motions of one day at a time until today becomes yesterday and tomorrow becomes today and those memories of our own amusement park visits slowly fade away.

Likewise, the things we once held near and dear to our own belief system have changed to the reality of what actually is and what is not.

May all your dreams come true.

No, I was being serious. I asked because that's what he got.
