I see a universal basic income in the future. A fixed amount of work needs to be done to sustain humanity. If machines do a significant portion of that, then the credit for could simply be shared among everyone. In fact, there is a guy (Andrew Yang) running for US president who is planning to channel the money from self driving trucks into the general population.
