Greetings from Germany
« on: June 16, 2019, 05:23:52 pm »
New guy reporting in.

Work in IT professionally but nothing with AI. That I do for fun. Here for exchange of ideas, daydreaming and possibly collaboration.

For now I'm collecting information about alternatives to NEAT and it's spin-offs.

Wish ya all a lovely Sunday.

What do you mean by "NEAT"? Do you mean the "lightweight, semantic grid framework built with Bourbon (CSS)"?

Anyway, welcome. It sounds like your background will fit in very well here.

Greetings from Canada! I used to live in Germany. Is NEAT a specific type of genetic algorithm?

OK, so it *is* a genetic algorithm. I'd never heard of it before.

I think there is an alternative to using mutation to train nets,    as in training them symbolicly, building a symbolic model unsupervised, instead of just evolution,  you cant learn it anywhere because its too new (no-one is doing It yet)...  but im just mentioning it.

This probably isn't the right place for tech support, but is there a trick to get the signature to update? i'd like to put some recent project info / links there but it doesn't seem to be working. Tried on Chrome & Firefox. Any ideas?

Signatures are restricted on new accounts for a while. You are welcome to post links and preferably some details about them in the General Project Discussion section in the meantime.

Hi Sky, hi everybody,

Here are more greetings from Germany (near Hamburg)!

I am a great fan of ideas towards strong AI with symbolic AI, and hope to have nice discussions (and infos) here.

Hey Burkart! The more the merrier. We haven't quite managed to create strong AI by ourselves. So please give us all your ideas.  ;)
