While googling HAL I came across this site and was quite surprised.
It wasn't our beloved Hal by any means but this one is pretty mobile!

Great promise though a bit awkward visually I'm sure it's a blessing
for those in need of such an apparatus.

Great site! Yes, I agree that it can be a great thing for those who are in need. And they can think of it this way - it makes them a cyborg, which is pretty cool. If they develop this enough, they may even be able to make some wheelchair-bound people able to walk! That is another hope of mine (even though I don't need a wheelchair myself).  I like to see how technology can help the disabled, and improve the quality of life for them.
