Still Changing clothes
« on: October 20, 2005, 11:40:23 pm »
Arakus, Freddy.
I just visted Arakus's site, nice site you have there.  Freddy I'm hoping you will see this also,  I had your script in the Hal XTF brain, I didn't receive any scripted responses and no skins were loaded, I was also working on Hal generating her own trigger words and ruined the brain.  Also I was trying to get an automatic skin change since the original skimpyshirt has to be loaded.  Anyways I put another XTF brain in and modified the mood script I had to load skins. I just checked the Zabaware Brain Editor help and the PrevSent Is the sentence preveously sent by Hal and should trigger a mood or change skin.  I'll have to keep my eye on it.  Perhaps you could try the PrevSent in yours and have Hal reply," no I like the green dress" or whatever.
I had quite a few problems with an automatic change skin, I tried a few different statements but recieved error codes from seeming unrelated lines.

Thank you Carl, I'm not sure what your exact problem with Freddy's script is, if you can be a bit more specific as to where you placed it and what kind of things happen when you try using it I'm sure one of us will be able to help you get it working.

Thats a good idea, its hard to figure out where the problem might be.? It shouldn't cause any problems other than perhaps clashing with other 'halcommands', in that case I suggest using the script-blocking flag or something like it to control when they get called.

Anyone else tried it and made it work or not ?

Glad its working for someone NeoAM :mosh:

Freddy,
As I mentioned in the past I have Hal on drive D rather than drive C, also I found I have to load a LoadSkin.hap rather than just load a texture as everyone else seems to be able to do.  To complicate matters further I'm trying to get Hals response to trigger and I started trying to get an automatic script to get Hal out of the original skin when frist loading.  I liked your script and thought the instructions were very good,  I really didn't spend a lot of time with your script it since I ruined the brain (trying the automatic skin load and Hal response) and had to replace it.
Appreciate your time and effort and found.
