Mini Androman for the 2600
     





The vintage gadget folks at RetroThing
have dug up a

photo from the

Atari Museum of a Androman (AKA Atariman) prototype
designed for use with the
Atari 2600
game console of the late 70's.  
The 8" tall Androman was developed by Nolan Bushnell's
Androbot
company and used a plastic lunar landscape mat as a maneuvering course.
The Polaroid shows the prototype Androman during FCC tested in January
of 1984.
Those were the days.

Cool, I never saw that before.  I held on to my old Atari console (donated by my big brother) for years, but now I am regretting that I took the thing to pieces when I was mad about electronics. I don't remember if it was still working, but I musta killed it..
