Most roboticists and AI researchers have probably read Antonio Damasio's
books such as Descarte'
Error. Damasio's research group at USC has published a
new study showing a distinction in how quickly the human brain makes
ethical decisions based on physical empathy vs psychological empathy. Is
this a defect in humans that could be corrected in emotional robots or a
useful feature that needs to be preserved? LiveScience
posted a story asking if cyborgs will compromise our privacy. Wired

GM/Segway vehicle - this would make a cool balancing robot.

Keep up the good work!
I find this informative and enlightening.

The Segway hmmm its like thinking where you want to move and the slightest shift puts it into action, which oddly enough reminds me of a Living ship that gave a neural connector to it's pilot, supposedly the 'highest honor' the ship could bestow on another. ..Oh well sci-fi or not I will get off track, I just remember when things happened at the same times.
