Think that's big? Check this out. They have to get on a ladder to reach the top. If this doen't give even the die-hard robotics fan the "Uncanny Valley" effect, nothing will! LOL!

The Robbie replica is totally cool. I was looking at the other offerings at hammacher.com, too bad thier Interactive Robot kit doesn't come in a slightly larger version. Since it has a USB port for PC connect and command input, the onboard command circuits could probably be modified
and upgraded to allow for the installation of a HAL type brain program. How wierd would that be to have a HAL brained robot following you
around the house chatting with you. The Festos-humanoid is just shades of Terminator endo-skeleton spooky, except for the facts that its
eyes don't glow red and it's painted blue. Has anyone seen the movie SUPERNOVA, strange AI in it named SWEETY, very neat.

I think the smaller version for $19.99 is more in our price range! :zdg_old
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

You sure got that right Art, especially if you're like me and have poured
what little extra you got into upgrades for your PC so your AI and other
worthwhile programs have a good home and room to run.   :zdg_lol
It was just wishful thinking on my part since I have a few extra PC
parts and pieces lying around the house.
