Chatbots Converse About Robots, God and Unicorns

    You've probably heard of the Turing Test or the Loebner Prize.  Well, some brains at Cornell University's Creative Machines Lab set two Cleverbots for a faceoff with each other.  Yeah, it got a little weird.  What did you expect?  It sort of went like speed dating for chatbots.  They said their hellos, then quickly began to argue with each other like an old married couple.  Watch the video, it's great fun.

This is quite good.  The woman's voice sounds real to me, anyone else think that ?

Maybe it’s the mood I’m in but I couldn’t stop laughing  , the way they seemed to argue with each other and the quick responses.

And yes Freddy, her voice is very realistic to me too.

That conversation tok me back to the days when Morti and Mitsuku were having their chats. It started out fine, but then just fell apart. I would have liked to have seen that conversation go another minute or so, just to see if it would deteriorate further.

And Freddy, that female voice, while admittedly much better than most that I've heard before, still sounded metallic and artificial. So far, Loquendo's Elizabeth voice sounds the most "natural" to me. Plus, I think that the British accent just makes Elizabeth's voice sound sexy.

For a moment, I was bracing for insults to start being thrown about!

Sha almost sounded like she had a slight accent as if from India.

Yes she definitely has an Indian accent.  I have the Ivona Emma voice, it's just about perfect I think.

I too have the Emma voice and use it for a lot of my home automation and chatbot voices.
Very lifelike!
