Oh yeah, backups are a must, especially for someone like you  O0

I use a NAS drive to auto backup my important folders now, just not worth the risk.

I've been using this online backup service for a while now, though I've never really tried to do a restore, so I'm not certain of it's quality. On occasion, I also burn a cd with all the sources. I like the idea of having a backup 'off-site' in case of a fire or something.

How many other computers / users are on your network, Freddy?
Just curious because even though my wife and I share a network
plus another Linux box, we each have our own external hard drives
and I think the externals are much more cost effective and practical.

Just my own school of thought. I use a TB Seagate USB 3.0. It's fast,
efficient, dependable, cost effective and offers:

Automatic continuous backup of your data
Secures your backed up files and your privacy with encryption software
Includes a Dashboard management tool for easy management of backup schedules and file encryption, and viewing drive statistics
Includes the GoFlex Desk USB 2.0 or 3.0 desktop adapter with illuminated capacity gauge
Offers vertical or horizontal orientation to fit in any desktop environment

Just my take on perhaps an alternative product.
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Just the one PC at the moment, but I am looking at salvaging some of this kit to make a back up PC, and make a new build as my new machine.

My NAS drive is pretty much the same thing, backs up whatever folders I want it to monitor.  Also it acts as a server which can be handy.  Does media streaming which I plan on using some time too.

The drive sits in a corner of my kitchen where there is less dust than the room I have my main PC in.  My printer is hooked up to it as well which has given me more desk space.

I've been quite pleased with it really.

I was disappointed when I realized the site was down so I couldn't consult the chatbot making guide ("Book of AI") they have on the site :|

. . . Then I remembered I archived the entire thing months ago, so if anyone needs a copy I can upload it.
