I already had win7 disk so when I bought my alienware I went for win8. Its took a little adaptation but it aint all that bad.

I haven't attempted any development on the platform as I am working on android stuff at the moment but no major complaints yet.

I would rather have linux but it doesnt lend itself to my work right now lol.

I've just been stung by Windows 8 up-grade, got a new motherboard, CPU and RAM but cannot activate Win 8 on it, it is telling me that my code has already been used and can’t be used again but not to worry because I can get a new code through windows for just £189.

No I am not going to buy another copy of 8, back to win 7 for me.

That is a bot steep. Also microsoft seem to be doing a year license for office. Kinda sucks
