Yes Freddy, I was there then. I recognized the TRS-80 Model I computer with expansion pack and one of the other one was actually a Tandy (Radio Shack) Color Computer (CoCo was the nickname). Great and oh so powerful computers back then. The original Model I came as Monochrome (black and white text, no graphics other than ASCII code), and it had a whopping 4k of RAM. Yes, that's right...4,096 bytes of RAM.

The CoCo came out a year or so later and had COLOR and 16k of RAM!! Yes fans, the sky was the limit!

Then again, practically every company had their own computer and each of those had their own operating system. There were several "flavors" of BASIC language at the time and each had its own nuances and rules. Most early computers loaded their programs and saved them from and to Cassette Tapes on a run-of-the-mill cassette recorder.

Oh yeah! Thanks for the memories Freddy!! (Makes me feel rather dated...ok...so I am!...get over it!!) :knuppel2: :2funny:

Yep, that computer fad will fade with the dodo.

I almost feel sorry for those poor souls who invested in Microsoft, Apple, and Intel in those early.

They must have terrible back-aches from carrying around all that money.

And to think society will just sit at home and stair into a screen just to read a news paper.

..... you know Art, i'm only 34, but it makes me feel old too :(
