The principle is pretty simple, really (after the fact at least). Calculate the trajectory of moving things, open up if a trajectory is aimed at the door. Seems convenient. I've seen a similar project applied to elevators to decrease wait time.
CO2 retains heat. More CO2 in the air = hotter climate.
