Alex Garland's directorial debut is a better film because of, and not despite, its engagement with consciousness research, says neuroscientist Anil Seth.

This is a interesting article about a film that, i now want to see. In some ways the only AI's that come close to fitting the standard definition of what life might be is two types of things. The first is a robot of course because it has various sensors to let it know about its environment. The other is artificial life. Most programs in that field have environments that they react to. However as far as being more fun and applicable to robots is AI.
So sue me

Yeah, although I think it has been one of mankind's dream, it might also serve to be mankind's curse.

To quote from the article:
" Is it possible to build a machine that is not only intelligent but also sentient: that has consciousness, not only of the world but also of its own self?"

Give us time...we're guaranteed to screw something up!! ^-^ O0

In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!
