Forum posting bots?
« on: November 24, 2006, 11:27:45 pm »
Well, I have spent a very little time looking at forum posting bots this afternoon, considering our spate today. :knuppel2

I am amazed that they can accomplish this, and without having tried one, I suspect that their advertizement outstrips their achievements.

I don't see any hint of them being able to read those graphics with submission codes, so I suspect they require you to tend to them, and I also suspect that they balk at some of the different types of email verification I have seen.

All in all, a horrifying way to use advance computer programming skills. I would almost rather have hordes of laser weilding death-bots  :zdg_evil2 advancing on my position huddled under the bones of the innocent slaughtered than have to read another pasted together paragraph of random phrases with keywords inartfully placed as hyperlinks. :zdg_hitcomp

Ghastly!

Dot info spam, I knew as soon as I saw the tykukuk username that it was a bot.
