New to AiDreams but not to A.I.
True A.I. may just be understanding how we as humans process information vs. standard pattern recognition. As humans we don't memorize questions that come complete with practiced answers. Sometimes I feel like I am so close to the answer and then it eludes me once again. 

Anyway, my bots are at: www.candyapple.galacticenterprise.com and www.shipscomputer.galacticenterprise.com. I haven't worked on Candy for quite a while. The Ship's Computer is being completely scrapped and I'm starting over again with a completely different format building a whole new A.I. core.

We as humans deal with the meanings and context of words before we reply to a question and it all happens in the milliseconds before we begin to respond. We need to find a way to escape the need for immense blocks of code needed for pattern recognition. Of course this is the answer that keeps eluding me.

Interesting post and I think you are on the right track, Its all chat bots at the moment, not what I’m really after, like you say a whole new A.I. core is needed, good luck, someone will crack it one day.

I had a small chat to Candy; she started of good but then fell over.

Me   What are you?

Candy   I am an Android

Me   What is an Android?

Candy   I will have to look it up.

May not be word perfect, but she knows she is an android but doesn’t know what an android is

I read Candy's Story a long time ago and really enjoyed it, so it's nice to see you found us too.  Be sure to keep us updated on your projects and good luck in finding what eludes you !
